Type: Student Learning Terms
Country: Kenya

Student Terms & Conditions — School of Digital Skills

These terms apply if you enroll in courses offered by Hamnate Space ("the School"). By enrolling you agree to the policies below.

Important: A registration fee of Ksh 500 is required to secure your place. This fee is non-refundable. You must pay at least Ksh 500 before enrollment is confirmed.
Enrollment & Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to enroll. Enrollment is confirmed only after the required registration fee and any applicable deposit are received via M-Pesa Till or Bank Transfer.
Course Fees & Payment Schedule
  • Payment options: M-Pesa Till or Bank Transfer.
  • To be eligible to sit the mid-course exam you must have paid at least 50% of the total course fee (or the amount indicated in your invoice).
  • To sit the end-term exam and receive your certificate you must have paid 100% of the course fee.
  • Late payment may lead to suspension of access until the outstanding balance is cleared.
Attendance & Course Duration
  • Our courses are offered full-time unless otherwise stated in the specific course outline (part-time options will be labelled).
  • Each course has a scheduled duration. If you remain enrolled and surpass the scheduled duration by more than 50% (for example: a 10-week course extended beyond 15 weeks), Hamnate Space may charge an extension fee — typically a weekly rate equal to 5% of the original course fee per additional week — until the course is completed or you agree to a new arrangement. Extension fees will be communicated before being applied.
Refunds & Cancellations
  • The registration fee (Ksh 500) is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel before course start and have paid more than registration, refunds (if any) are subject to an administrative fee and any bank or transfer charges. Refund requests must be sent in writing to admin@hamnate.co.ke.
  • No refund will be issued after the course has commenced except in exceptional circumstances at the Company's sole discretion.
Course Access, Materials & Outline
  • Students receive access to course materials for the duration stated in the course outline. Access to the learning platform may be revoked if fees are overdue.
  • Hamnate Space provides course outlines and an admission number upon successful enrollment. Keep your admission number safe — it is required for exams and certification requests.
Exams, Certificates & Assessments
  • Mid-course exam: eligibility requires at least 50% payment (see Payment Schedule).
  • End-term exam & certificate: eligibility requires 100% payment of fees and completion of assessment requirements.
  • Certificates are issued after verification of identity, completion of course requirements, and full payment. Digital certificates will be emailed; printed certificates can be issued for an additional fee.
Code of Conduct & Academic Integrity
  • Students must behave respectfully in all online classes and communications. Bullying, harassment, or disruptive behaviour may result in suspension or termination from the course.
  • Academic dishonesty, including plagiarism or cheating during exams, will lead to disciplinary measures which can include failing assessments or expulsion without refund.
Technical Requirements & Support
  • Students are responsible for providing their own devices and internet connection. Minimum technical requirements are listed in each course page.
  • We provide technical support for our platform during business hours. Support requests are handled via email; response times vary depending on volume.
Privacy & Personal Data
Student personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy. By enrolling you consent to collection and use of your information for course administration, certification and communications.
Termination
Hamnate Space may suspend or terminate access for policy violations, non-payment, or misconduct. Upon termination, your right to course materials and platform access ends immediately.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hamnate Space's liability for any claim related to student courses is limited to amounts paid by the student for the specific course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing Law
These student terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes should first be raised informally with Hamnate Space; unresolved disputes may be referred to the appropriate courts.
